Veritas Soap Co.'s Sunscreen is formulated with beneficial ingredients such as Organic Coconut Oil (Natural SPF of about 10), Organic Olive Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Rice Bran Oil and Organic Red Raspberry Seed Oil (which has a natural SPF of about 40).
BE ADVISED: ALWAYS SHAKE PRODUCT BEFORE USE!
This sunscreen product is mild and as natural as you're going to get! It is our opinion that synthetics (of any kind) should not be left on the skin to bake in the sun (that is essentially what Sunscreen does...). However, this product is not a substitute for basking in the intense sun for 2-3+ hours from 12-3pm... please be cautious. Use this product wisely.
Apply it as often as necessary, especially if you will be swimming, are very fair skinned, or using on children.
Most Sunscreens on the market have toxic ingredients and according to a 2014 Environmental Working Group study, research suggests that oxybenzone and other sunscreen chemicals can be toxic to reproductive systems and/or interfere with normal cell development. The lovely state of Hawaii has now taken action and banned Sunscreens with Oxybenzone and Octinoxate because of the damage (correct term is called "bleaching") it is doing to our coral reefs worldwide.

☀️ This is a natural product, we do not use any silicones, phthalates or liquid polymers of any kind to keep the zinc suspended, please SHAKE WELL before each use.
☀️ Similarly, because we don't use synthetic solubizers/emulsifiers in this product it's difficult to make a completely natural product a lotion consistency for someone in Alaska vs. Bahamas (this organic product is temperature sensitive). The majority of our Sunscreen is Organic/Unrefined cold pressed virgin Coconut Oil, it melts instantly on the skin. If your home is very cold it may prove difficult to get out of the bottle, you may need to keep it in a warmer area of your home.
This is a 100% natural product.
Please re-apply as often as necessary! Keep an eye on children and babies (also use hats that cover the neck & long sleeves in the hot summer months!) Remember, the point in using Sunscreen is to NOT GET BURNED... Keeping the white on keeps the burn away!!

It can take anywhere from 1-5 business days... maaaaybe 6. I apologize if I'm ever that late. I will always hook you up with some free gifts if I am! Sometimes issues come up, I have 3 kids. If I have your item on hand I will ship asap. However many items need to be made fresh as we try our hardest not to use harsh preservatives in our products, only ones certified for Organic Cosmetics by Ecocert.
Yes. Especially the Original Baking Soda formula. Not so much the sensitive one. The reason for this is because we do not put any polysorbates or emulsifiers in it to keep the ingredients constantly mixed together. We want our product to be as natural as possible. Be sure to shake your Toothpaste tube vigorously before use so your Toothpaste doesn't become dry towards the end (a little fractionated Coconut Oil & a shake to the tube will do the trick). We have tried 7 different tubes. Because the ingedients needs to be shaken, this design is the best we've tried. We apologize very much for any inconvenience but this is usually the nature of natural products.

My friend gave me this sunscreen once and I just ran out and bought myself another one. I love it because it’s all natural ingredients, unlike most sunscreens that I refuse to put on my skin! This is very lightweight, and smells good from the coconut oil. I don’t burn easily, so this is the perfect product for me at the beach. I also like to use it as a base before skincare and makeup too.

FAVORITE PRODUCTS ON EARTH I have tried many sunscreens that claim to be reef-safe, safe for the environment, non-streaky and effective and NONE OF THEM compare to Veritas. Living in the caribbean means that I need effective skin protection that is safe for me and safe for the ocean and all its creatures. I cannot say enough about how much I love this product (and all of Veritas products). It is nourishing on my skin, smells absolutely lovely, and protects me from the hot caribbean sun.
